Today I was removing my headers on my 69 911t. To my dismay for the life of me I could not find a small enough 8mm allen wrench to remove the last fastener on my headers. I was contemplating using a saws-all and a couple of choice words towards the engineers of this vehicle. When I walked to my tool box and noticed my Harbor freight Icon Flex-head ratchet set. To my surprise it has an 8mm allen head bit it fit perfectly and I was able to remove the stubborn nut.

It's a nice little kit. Recently picked one up cause adjusting a couple items on race cars is easier with it.
Also on sale this weekend. ;-) |

Nifty little item, I had to look it up.
I bought a similar mini ratchet set (Strebito on Amazon) just for tight space access but find the 3.3/4” length of its ratchet not only small but slippery. The Icon flexer maybe a 1/4” longer looks like a good bet since it can be extended and or used like a T-handle. https://www.harborfreight.com/locking-flex-head-ratchet-and-bit-set-35-piece-58074.html |

Luckily our beloved 911s are self oiling, and the engines tend to preserve quite nicely. This heat exchanger is no exception. Congrats on getting it removed.

That’s a handy-looking set. Thanks for calling it to our attention.

I sprayed WD40 and got too carried away. The oil hose....well I don't have any stories other than this has been in my garage for 15 years 😅
