I have a small project for my 1984 911 Targa that includes replacing the black rubber door sill "plate" with one from our host in aluminum. I've seen a number of these with words like "Carrera" or Turbo" or similar. My intent is to have some custom engraving done on the sill plate and I'm trying to confirm the approximate height and width of the wording. I'd like my word to be scaled appropriately.
I can see images online but but I'd rather not just guess. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me the approximate width and height of (any) words they might have on their aluminum sill plate and the distance from the edge. Is it centered. The picture below is just a reference.
