Short rear seat backs on cab?

My friend will take possesion of an sc cab with manual roof in a trade. The car has a rear seat delete now and the seller says that the proper rear seat back is shorter than coupe versions. Can anyone verify this? Could you just take a coupe seat and adjust it shorter and then redo the upholstery? Thanks in advance

when I look at the parts catalog for the SC, there are only 2 option designations that effect the rear seat (1: Turbo, 2: M403). Turbo beige self explanatory. M403 is the code for 911-SC-ANNIVERSARY CAR 82. It does not appear to me as though there is anything special about the rear seats in the Cab.

Cab rear seat backs are different due to the roof mechanism in the sides of the car

I'm not sure I would trust the PET though. For example, the PET for the SC shows the locking pin assembly in the diagram, but it's not on the parts list. And it is only used on the rear seat back for the cab (at least in the SC era).

So the ability to accommodate the locking pin would be one difference. I think they are also more upright (which is what I think ian is saying).
