baffled newbie - window switch problem non working windows

hello everyone
i am working on a 1984 911 carrera and as an affirmed newbie - i misconnected wires when changing the switch on the drivers side window. I believe they are correct now i checked them against a few posts here - however - in the process of reconnecting incorrectly - the window went down and has not worked since - as a matter of fact - at this point none of the window switches work - i did put a new relay in just in case that was the issue - but no luck - i have since found out these are more sensitive to this mistake than i thought - I hope I have not completely messed something up -

I am hoping one of the genius minds on the forum might be able to steer me in the right direction to solve this issue- please...

any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks
Sean

Fuse?

Once one of our geniuses gets you straightened out and the wires are connected properly - a suggestion.

Make a drawing /diagram of the switch wire locations on the switches for all 3 switches. Assuming that you have a Bentley shop manual, the switch replacement section is a good place. Considering switch quality, you will very likely be doing this repair again. It makes life a lot easier.

Same recommendation if and when the gauges are out.

Sounds like a wiring issue, I would first double check your work. Check out this post for correct wire locations.

Always a good idea to clean your fuse contacts to.

definitely will do - not sure what happened that day - i usually take a picture to have a record - could have deleted it by mistake - but will definitely heed the advice and draw everything out
