smooth rear bumper!
O.K. I know some of you have done this mod, removing the rear bumper pads and rear molding to give a smoother apearance. After removing the trim the bumper shock bolts are exposed. Anyone have a clever way to hide or replace these? If these bolts were hacked off how would you mount the bumper?
Thanx for any input.

I am replacing mine with a fiberglass rear bumper to avoid all of this.

Well the shocks are the really heavy part... but you could swap them for some sort of decorative bolt -- say a black button head hex bolt or something. Or cover them with some sort of caps -- maybe Mickey Mouse icon? Grateful Dead stickers? That's what I would do - but not every one has my elevated sense of esthetic refinement.

I was just looking at Steve930t's beautiful Carrera (the one he wishes was orange!) and he has just the reflectors on his back bumper to cover the bolts. I currently have these reflectors on my rubber moulding already. Perhaps I will just cut them off and use them.
