sway a way contact info

I have googled Sway away several time to try to find their website. All I find is shops that deal their products. Is there a phone number anywhere for Sway a way?
Or do you have to go through their dealers? TIA

Brian sold the company 2 years ago.

Thanks Matt. So it's now called Bettes Company?

Rick Cabell 07-28-2025 01:40 PM

I just called them, and they only bought the spring part of the business. All the other products the woman had no clue about.

What is that you’re trying to contact sway-a-way for?

dtxscott 07-29-2025 05:18 AM

From the press release

“After more than 40 years in the sway bar business, I have decided to sell the sway bar part of our business to Betts Spring,” said Brian Skipper, President & CEO of Sway-A-Way. “They have greater resources that can expand the product line and I cannot think of a better company to take over what we have already accomplished.”

I wanted to buy some bullnose wheel studs. I could not find sway away direct so I bought them from PMB who has to order them from Sway. 2 weeks. So I tried to go direct to Sway. Could not find them direct on the net. So I posted here. Matt posted a lead, so I followed up. Sway sold the spring part of the business as posted above.
So, I ordered more from PMB. Be another 2 weeks. I asked the sales guy where they are actually getting they studs. He replied, "Sway A Way". So where the non spring business went I still don't know.

Might be wholesale only business

Rick Cabell 07-29-2025 02:38 PM

I hear ya, but there are many business that sell wholesale only but you can at least find them on the web.

What about MSI or ARP wheel studs?

MSI are really good. https://www.msirp.com/wheelstuds/

Thanks for the tip. They have a helpful application guide.

A lot of these old guys/old businesses don’t want to deal with all the askholes. I’ve been at this long enough that I remember when you couldn’t call PMO. Richard gave his phone number to U.S. dealers, but even we had to order by fax.

If he sold the spring business and is semiretired, I’m guessing he doesn’t even keep regular business hours anymore. It’s called opportunity cost. As you get older and the toilet paper roll starts spinning faster as you have fewer sheets left, why would you be in an office sitting around when you could be out there living your best life? As someone in this business in his mid-50s, and 20 years at it, I totally get it. If I hit 65 and am still doing it, it’s definitely gonna be part time.

I understand. I'm 72 with 55 years at this and still learning.

You manufacture Porsche parts? What’s your company?

Rick Cabell 07-30-2025 12:02 PM

I sold my business in 2016. I had 25-30 911 customers that came with me to my home shop.
Still working 40+ hours a week. No business name, just me. No employees to deal with.

Then you really do get it. Congratulations on your “retirement”.

You can call them as well. I had a question and the owner of the company called me to answer my questions. She was very helpful.

Hey Rick,

You asked about bullnose wheel studs:

These are the titanium studs from Ti Porsche products. He sells them in the classifieds.

Rick Cabell 07-31-2025 04:58 AM

Thanks for all the feedback
