I did a search, I swear....
But, now I'm more confused. I even checked PP's new list. I just want to be sure I didn't just buy something that won't fit my car.
I have a 74 and want to upgrade to thicker swaybars. I bought stock 27mm bars from an 87 930. Then all of the sudden I think I remember reading that P changed something in 86? Will they fit my car? Please say yes! |
The bars got thicker for 911s in 86. I think they should fit your car, assuming your front bar is the under-the-body type. You will probably need new bushings.
Look at the Pelican catalog for stock bars, it lists all the sizes and years. As I understand it, the only difference in the rear bars from 86 and 87-89 is a bend to clear the transaxle. http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/shopcart/911M/POR_911M_suspen_pg3.htm#item5 Tom |
Ok, I just read my post and realize I wrote swaybars. I meant Torsion bars. Erg! I bought 27mm rear torsion bars from an 87 930. Sorry for the confusion everyone. Half asleep or something.

If it had been an NA car you would have been stuck with torsion bars for a G50 car which wouldn't work, but since it is from a 930 I am pretty sure you will be OK.

Ahh, I get it now. Ok, thanks for the help! I was starting to freak-out. Not that I couldn't sell them, but that it would hinder the process of lowering and corner balancing! You guys rule!
