Question Auxiliary Heater - Simple electrical question

Hi,
I just finally fixed/hacked the auxiliary heater connections and everything seems to work but what I don't know is the polarity of the connections to the heater motor. No matter which way I connect the wires, the motor it will run.

See the pix:

Is the yellow (+) and the brown (-) or the other way around?

I thought I would feel the warm air coming out the vents when the right connections were made, but it's more like a breeze either way so I can't truly tell (kind of feels the same)

I did notice that one way ( (+) to brown and (-) to yellow) ) the motor makes an awful noise. I just hope this is the wrong way otherwise the motor is shot.

Thanks
-J

I hope you're sure that the blue/taped over connections are safe. If it were me, I'd put shrink tubing around each wire and connection. Dodgy electrics around a *fuel* heater is an interesting proposition. You might get more heat than you wish.

Hi,
I promise I'll do a much better wiring that that... (that is temporary)
But I have to say that I had forgotten to buy the 'T' connector so thanks for the reminder!!
I don't want any extra heat

Believe it or not it's already way better that what the PO left in there (burned black tape and some traces of electrical shorts between those connections) ...

Thanks for the reminder!
