I tried the starting fluid test
The 1975 911s that I have been posting about is finally on the road.. My last post was about how it was sputtering in the lowRs and when under a load. The general thought was it had been sitting for a long time . So I tried fresh gas and some fuel additive and drove her for about 2 hours total on 4 trips.. Sputtering has gotten worse. Now I tried spraying starting fluid in the engine compartment near where the rubber cover goes over those throttle body looking things.. The idol DID change. So I looked until I found a vac line that didn't have a home on one end. The line comes out of the very top of a thing that looks like the fuel filter but smaller . It has several other lines coming out of it one actually does go to the fuel filter others go to different parts of the fuel distribution points. I need to know where to plug that line in and hope like hell it fixes the rough running and sputtering.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1756415049.jpg

Deceleration Valve……
Brian,
The top of the decel valve is connected to the backside of the of the throttle body for vacuum. Get an inspection mirror and you will find a vacuum port with a missing hose. Tony |
