Need the weight of a vw1200cc engine
 
I know this might be off topic , and it will be moved but there is a lot of VW junkies here and I thought that it would be answered quickly.

A friend of mine is selling a 1200cc vw motor to someone in Puerto Rico. And he needs to know how much it weighs . It does have the exhaust attached. Also whats an easy method of shipping it to Puerto Rico?

A later 1600 Bug engine weighs 250 lbs turn key, so the 1200 would weigh a little less, probably around 230. Shouldn't be that far off the weight of a 356 or 912 engine.
