KW v3 Clubsports ride quality?

I’ve searched, but I really haven’t been able to find any information on the ride quality of the KW club sports. My friend has the regular V3’s on his 82 and they ride very nice. How do the club sports compare? I’m worried that the Club sports with their additional spring will ride much stiffer. This car is a 78 with stock TB

I’d like to hear your experience with these thanks Rene

Regular V3s for torsion bar cars. V3 Clubsport coilovers are for cars that are have been (are being) converted from torsion bars to coil springs.

V3 Clubsports coil overs are not meant for use on torsion bar cars. Coilovers would be in lieu of,(versus in addition to) torsion bars.

Assuming that's what you were asking.

Coilovers are not plug-and-play. Requires engine removal for additional bracing around the rear shock towers.

Unless your use case is primarily track days, stick with the standard v3. It's lightyears better than stock without being overly harsh.

Thank you guys for your responses. I hadn’t been notified of any responses.

The motor is out and reinforcements are being welded in for the coilovers. I was mistaken thinking that they were going to use torsion bars and coils, tb will be removed.

The spring rates are 140 for the front and 400 for the rear. Does anyone know more or less what the equivalent torsion bar would be? I figure if it rides to rough I can lower the spring rates.

You just adjust the rebound and bump settings, the spring rates will be fine.
I have these coilovers, I found the recommended settings from KW too firm for the road. I wound back the rebound and bump on all corners and it rides nicely. I don't change the settings on the track unless I am trying to dial out understeer or oversteer.

In my horrible 3rd world roads I ended up lowering my tire pressures.

On all season street tires. It was unbearable.

I run 20-25 psi. I pump them up for long highway trips.

I also have dedicated track wheels and tires
