Selling on consignment, but..?

Hey guys and girls
I'm thinking about shipping my precious to the states and selling it over at your place instead. Why? because the europens just haven't figured out what you guys have allready figured out. The correct value of my car.(964 RSA). The tariffs might make this impossible but lets just imagine it's possible and not have a political debate about it.

But...

That's one risky move. It would need alot of great rewievs from experienced Porsche guys for me to trust someone to go thru with it.

Any suggestions on a serious sellers that would take it on?

I would wait until tariffs get figured out. It’s crazy right now.

Are there European brokers with a strong sales presence in the USA that you could work with?

EDIT: Maybe this platform could work for you? https://www.pcarmarket.com/

list it at the price you want, then let the buyer decide where to ship it and how.

Was just looking at a UR- Quattro on Hemming’s and it was being sold by this dealer (who takes consignments) with a EU and USA presence. Might be worth researching them.

I recently got hit with a 33% tariff buying a part from the Netherlands. I wouldn't dare buy a car from overseas right now. Could you imagine a $20K tariff on a $60K car. No thanks.

I've also read quite a few people refusing the overseas shipment because of unexpected tariffs. The thing they don't realize is the seller has no control of the tariff and no responsibility to return their money. Refusing the tariff doesn't mean the part will be sent back to the seller. It's really a s..t show.

I had to pay 200 tariff/tax for a set of fog lights. From europe. Essentially a federal sales tax,

I'd suggest contacting Broad Arrow Auctions. They're part of the Hagerty insurance group and have offices on both sides of the pond. You are correct on the 15% tariff. I contacted them about an '89 911 Speedster they have in Belgium, and the numbers just didn't make sense for me.
