Seat recover
I’m ready for the flaming, I have done the best I can as I have added Dacron to the clapped out areas and it took some time to track down the proper color as my 81 had a Special Leather interior according to the window sticker. Come to find out the color is a Mercedes color known as Buckskin. Anyway here’s my results, I have yet to cut the holes just in case once the leather settles it needs a bit more fiddling.

Either I did better than I thought or the world has ended and I can now wonder around picking up the left behind 911’s in hopes of rebuilding a world that is made up of Air cooled cars!

Looking good, I bought some covers from Lakewell in europe. Had a local guy install after my miserable attempt. I emailed Lakewell about their cover fit and they said it takes a few days to get the wrinkles out. They said put them out in the sun or you can use either a heat gun or steam.

Looks solid to me, especially considering the effort you put into tracking down the right color. Buckskin suits it well, nice work.

Well I completed both and took a lousy picture but here is my completed picture. I’m happy and they feel great. The picture was more to show the match to a friend who is out of state from me.
