930 Brake Calipers - OE or Elephant Racing ERX
Hi all
About to replace some tired calipers on a 930 based competition car. My options are new Porsche OE calipers or the Elephant Racing 930 ERX calipers. I wondered if anyone had any experience of the ERX calipers and could offer a view of their performance - either absolute or compared to the OE 930 calipers. Many thanks. |

Other than that the ERX have different piston sizes that do address the pad erosion issues of oe 930s but also move bias further forward and induce a slightly softer pedal, neither is desirable for a competition car. For street use the ERX are the best currently available option, for track not so much.

Random thought - but you may want to check what Wilwood or AP Racing has to offer.

I upgraded my 911 Carrera brakes to 930 calipers on the front but did not want to modify the OE rear calipers to fit the Carrera rear mount holes so I bought 2 ERX for rears made for the Carrera mount holes…love both types! Only downside with ERX is they dont have “Porsche” milled into caliper.

If they are 930 calipers, seals and pistons should be available and cheaper than replacements |
