WydRyd in Australia turbo'd his 89 turbo-look with a kit from Protomotive. He's quite happy with it. For him it wasn't too big a deal since his car already had the extra rubber, turbo brakes, and turbo suspension, so all he had to worry about was the motor which was still a very involved process. I believe I have seen on this board somewhere that the kits start at 4 or 5 thousand. There's also supercharging of Knoxville who has two different kits good for over 300 or over 400 hp. Either way unless you have a turbo look not only will you have to mod the motor, but you will then need to upgrade the brakes and suspension to compensate for all of the extra power. It's a pricy upgrade when all is said and done. Lot's of people say either go with a 3.6L for extra reliability or just sell the car and then buy a turbo.
