Pulley seal install ok?

The seal looks like it might be a little gnarled in the notch as shown- should I be worried?
(Some of that is grease)

if it does not leak leave it alone...it is good brand seal compare the Victor Renz type for sure

what is up with the engine case black silicone.It is not on the whole case i wonder?

I’m not sure on the black silicone. It looks like it’s in other places so I can only assume that it’s everywhere?

I should have mentioned in the previous post that I installed the seal- so it is brand new- and was leaking previously.

you should be fine, unfortunatelly somebody before you used the wrong sealant on the engine case....keep the eye on it for leaks

Just to be 100% clear, are you recommending the Victor Renz seal over the Porsche seal?

My pulley end seal is leaking. I will be doing the rear seal replacement soon. I don't want to do it again after that. I want to get the engine leak free.

Glen no i forgot to write ( to V.R type ) i hate those i only use Elring seal as is on the OP picture
