Resurface pressure plate

I bought the regular Sachs clutch kit from the hosts - hasn’t completely arrived yet, but I’m seeing I had the hi performance lighter weight aluminum one previously installed. Can I get the mating surface resurfaced? I’d rather use this one as it’s higher perf than the one I purchased.

Presuming I should- if it’s even possible. I did get the flywheel resurfaced from the local shop.

Rock. Auto has a whole sachs kit for less than what machining would cost

Nothing is impossible but it would be difficult to fixture it. Probably a lot cheaper to get a new one, its what you usually do.

Installed the clutch would polish the pressure plate.

Been screwed by ******** too many times I wouldnt trust them to provide the proper parts and they have absolutely no customer service purchase from them at your own risk.

They sent me the correct parts

from the looks at your pres. plate it`s worn out,If you remove the TO bearing you`ll see the groove -it is gone, get new one..

When was that recently? The first couple times I used them years ago they were great but in the last 2 years I got 3 orders and none were right first 2 they refunded me right away and paid shipping last order about a year ago they wouldnt refund until they got the part back and wouldnt pay shipping and all efforts to talk to customer service failed. Sure sign of a failing business.

I've had mixed results having a pressure plate resurfaced. Years ago I had one done that worked out fine. More recently I had another one done and they damaged the housing (the aluminum part) of the pp. And the balance was way off afterward. I believe they disassemble the plate from the housing, so the shop needs to know what they are doing in order to do it correctly. After hearing stories of what happens when a pp fails, I decided against trying to fix it and got a new one.
