'71 S Spark Plugs???
I have a '71 911 s with weber carbs and I recently put new plugs in that I got from pelican but the car doesn't seem to run quite as well as with the old copper NGKs the previous owner. The new plugs I put in the car are Bosch W3DP0 and they are platinums. I have never been a big fan of platinums but that was what was recommended. I would like to switch back to coppers if I can, Bosch or NGKs. Any thought?
thanks, zac

ngk bp7es or bp8es. The 8's have a better heat range for the S.
That platinum stuff is useless IMHO. I have NGKS, with an MSD box to fire them, with the gap opened up so you can slide a matchstick in. No fouling, even with a super-rich MFI tuned for racing.

Are you sure all of your wires are snapped securely to the plugs? Some of them can take a BIG effort to get them to snap on fully. -- Curt

The NGks
What is the difference between the NGK BP7HS and the BP7ES? Which are the proper Bosch copper plugs?
