Electrical gurus: wiring fuel pump cutoff circuit
I'm figuring out the wiring to add a second fuel pump and fuel pump relays to my car (930 engine into a '75 chassis that didn't have a fuel pump relay from the factory). I'll have two fuel pump relays, one for each pump.
While I'm doing this wiring, I also want to enable the overboost and fuelpump cutoff (air plate) switches. But, since the pump cutoff switch is normally open when the engine's running, it looks like I'll need a third relay just for that switch. So my question is: Is there a way I can wire the fuel pump cutoff switch into the two fuel pump relays, rather than having to use a third relay which then controls the fuelpump relays? Thanks!

Is there an EE in the house?
![]() The diagram below is what I've thought out so far in my effort to plan a 930 fuel pump system in my '75 chassis. The stock chassis has no fuel pump relay, so I'm basically starting from scratch with the 930 wiring diagram. I'm stumped on whether it's possible to make the CIS air plate switch (which is open while the engine is running) work without its own dedicated relay. Is there any way to hook the switch up to just the two main fuel pump relays, eliminating my "control relay" shown in the picture? Thanks for any advice you have. ![]()
