Ahhhh, sarcasm! Gotcha.
![]() Yeah, that's interesting, that quote from Puhn's book. But boy, after the physics lesson from the aeronautical engineers, I'm starting to wonder just how over-simplified the aerodynamics lessons are in those handling handbooks. I'm guessing they dumb it down quite a bit to keep the book short and to the point, and so everyone can understand it.

Tyson, I think that you've hit the nail on the head. It seems to be such a complex problem that computer simulations or intuition can't account for all of the variables.
It still seems to be a bit of a black art unless you're spending $15 million a year for wind tunnel testing like the top F1 teams do.
