Help please; Where this two cables go?

Putting back the engine.. but I have to cables that I cannot mate to anything and I cannot find the 'proper' picture on where they really go.. here are the cables:

They come from the main wiring loom.

Any ideas??

This is for a '73.5 (CIS) 911T

Thanks in advance.

Where are they coming out of in the loom? What components are the wire's exits from the loom near? My first thought is the one with a round lug is a ground and the other goes to the WUR. But I need more information. Jim

Jim, correction.. it does not come from the main wiring loom but rather from the 3 pin CIS loom.. so I guess that one goes to the distributor and the other to ground.

Any better ideas?

Probably then, the round eye lug grounds on a stud on the driver's side engine compartment wall forward of the CD box. The other wire may go on the distributor. I have a 73.5 engine with a new OEM wiring harness on a stand at home. I'll check the wiring this evening and let you know. Jim

Just looked at the online 7'3 wiring diagram and I suspect the black wire clips on a lug on the side of the distributor; there should be a black and blue wire mounted there too. The black and blue wire carries the tachometer signal forward to the instrument panel. Jim

Black wire clips onto lug on side of distibutor and wire with round eye lug is in grip of stud/nut which holds coil mounting bracket to fan shroud. Jim
