Do I have a Turbo engine case?
The other day when tightening my muffler straps, I noticed my engine case is stamped with a 930 number. ( 930.101.104.5R ) can anyone tell me if this is a 930 case and if it is, why is it in my car? Is this an engine that is original to the car or has it been transplanted? Also, I am pretty the valve covers are the turbo style as well but couldn't find a pic on Pelican's site. Anyone have on they can show me?
Also, has anyone installed the Dansk single in single out ss sport muffler that our host sells? I am looking for a cat back muffler that has a little more rumble but doesn't look much different than stock from the back. Any pics of your installed? Thanks.

I'm no expert, but I think a number of 911s have 930 engine cases. Mine does. Tyson seemed to know this. In other words, my car came with a 930 case. Yours probably did too. My pistons are too high compression for turbocharging (9.3:1), but I believe the "bottom end" of our motors are essentially 930 bottoms.

All 911SCs and 911 Carreras have "930" engine cases. The Turbo case and the SC / Carrera cases are nearly identical. The 930 you see is an engine casting number. The engine type number also begins with 930 for Carreras and SCs...
