Early S spoiler license plate mounting
Can anyone recommend the best way to mount a license plate onto an S spoiler?
I have two mounting holes and a mounting bracket for a '74. The body shop which retored the car custom made two bracket estensions which attached to the 74 mount and then to the spoiler just under the trim. Unfortunately both extensions broke as some idiot backed into the plate while parking (luckily no other damage was done). I've been running without a front plate ever since just because I like the look better even though NJ requires one. I now need to have the car inspected and need to mount one by Friday. (I live in an Apt with limited tools and access to materials. I'll likely take the plate off after inspection anyway so I don't necessarily need a permanent solution - just one which will pass) Any ideas?

There are some mounting holes in the underside lip of the spoiler. How about inverting a bracket bent 90 degrees & using those, temporarily???
I think they are not at center, but more for fog lamp brackets, etc...
