Wow, besides the obvious (Chris' car is very cool) there were some amazing cars out there.
Hell, that's better than a strip club!

Good job, Souk. Sorry I missed it, however, duty calls.

Thanks Souk, and thank Steve,
Overall it was a very good weekend. Somehow when replacing the suspension bushings I "Forest Gumped" my way into a better rear end setup. I'd been chasing a 0.1 improvement at that track for 1.5 years now, and all of a sudden knocked 3.5 seconds off my laps... 60 were on the grid cars started that race!!! I took 3rd place overall, 2nd in class. I would have had 1st in class and second overall, but a pro driver made a questionable pass under a waving yellow in a 130MPH blind corner and took it from me on the last lap. Corner workers were too busy helping the injured driver that caused the yellow to see it. Such is life I guess. We do feel VERY good that the only two guys in front of me were both professional drivers. One was a hired gun (or so I was told), and the other was this guy. http://www.toadhallracing.com/toad-010.html who was behind me for all but the last 15 seconds before said pass... The three of us ran away from the pack early, and duked it out for the whole race. Yellows, lap traffic, and oil in 3 corners made it quite "interesting". Kitchak, of Toad Hall, in the Porsche was on my bumper the entire race. No matter when I looked in my mirror, all I could see was his windsheild, he was that close the whole time. I did have a bit more go on the straights, but he's got about 30 years of driving experience on me (as you'll see from the web page) so I don't feel bad about finishing 0.1 seonds behind a guy who's won Daytona, the World Challenge GT, and driven LeMans. Of the 14 corners, there 2 cars off in turn 3, one off in turn 6, one off in 8, one destroyed in 11, two off in 12, and one rolled over in 14... Never seen anything like it! Phoebe ran like a champ and I don't think I've ever felt more comfortable with the way she handled.

WOW Nice photos Souk.
Chris - you must have nerves of steel to deal with 60 cars, all the drama, and having pro drivers sandwiching you in. Congrats on your performance...impressive. Mark
