Porsche delays plans to return to motorsport

Found this article on the F1 Live site...

http://f1.racing-live.com/en/index.html?http://f1.racing-live.com/en/headlines/news/detail/030724110405.shtml

also it seems to have affected the Sauber team who were hoping for some engines from them...

http://f1.racing-live.com/en/headlines/news/detail/0007300122.shtml

Funny that they cited 'financial reasons' - I thought they were doing rather well.

That Sauber article is dated July 30, 2000 and indicates that engines were to be supplied by 2002????? In any case, I guess I'm not surprised ........ -- Curt

Racing? Isn't owning a Porsche all about how other people perceive me???

I'm beginning to suspect that Porsche's relationship to Audi may be affecting their racing plans...

oops - I didn't notice the date on that second one, sorry. The first one's current though. Unfortunately.

As much as I love Porsche I fear they are going the way of the once great has beens.

I never really wanted to see Porsche in F1 (I want to be able to dream of driving the car on the road as well as the track) but at least they would have been back in racing at a top level.

Oh well I guess ALMS GT3 cars will have to suffice

Well if they went f1 i'd assume it would purely be to build motors and not the car right? I mean i wouldn't mind having an f1 motor in my car .
