911R Fiberglass panels

Hi,

Anyone have any experience with comparison of the fiberglass "R" parts from say GT Racing and Rennspeed--or A.I.R. ? Quality or fitting comparisions? Any recommendations or opinions? I'm somewhat of a newbie-have a 67 "S"--going for some "R" look as I restore it. At least going for the front and rear bumpers, but may go farther. Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated.

A.B.

I helped installa an AIR 935 kit on a car. The AIR glass is the heaviest most ill fitting glass I have ever seen, absolute crap. The amount of work to get the car "right" was tremendous.. I wouldnt wish AIR glass on anyone.

On the other hand I helped install an MA Shaw 993 widebody kit on a car, nice light well fitting glass. On my personal car Ive installed GT racing body panels, GT is good well fitting, light glass ( and carbon). Ive never seen any rennspeed glass so I cant comment on that.

I have GT Racing's glass on my car and the parts are of very good quality. Prepping for paint (as with most fiber panels) gets expensive as it could be extensive. I echo Tim's commetns on AIR's panels, I sold mine after trying to do a fitting.

i have the R tail light panels from rennspeed but don't have a comparison to gt. i know that the pieces will require a min of 2 hours each to fit the lamps and to the body.

i seem to recall (correct me if i am wrong) that jack olsen orders his s spoilers from rennspeed and has been very pleased with their products. i would think the pieces would be the same with the R stuff.
