In a bind need help and advice.

Ok...

I am scheduled to pick my car up this weekend from the body shop, but there appears to be a major snag. I purchased these RUF 935 style mirrors from Better Bodies.

http://www.betterbodiesmotorsport.com/interiors/accesories1/racemirrors.html

anyway, the shells have been painted and mounted but the glass part has not came in from the supplier. Better Bodies is at a loss as they cant contact their supplier, and they have no idea of when their next shipment will arrive. Does anyone know of anyone else out there that might sell this glass piece or possibly have one in stock? I have left a message with GT racing. Any other leads?

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

any glass shop should be able to cut glass cheap from pattern. I did a mirror a few years ago, I think it cost under $10.

No help offered, but which ones did you get? The 993 style or the smaller flush mount ones?

I ask because I am interested in gettting a set, but I have not found a satifactory method of mounting either style.

So how are they mounted?

Souk,

I got the Yellow Bird 935 style. You have to drill a hole thru the window frame. You then mount the mirrors with provided screws. I have heard that the RUF mirrors are held on with adhesive.

I tried to buy 935 style mirrors from GT Racing a couple of months ago, but Hank said he can no longer find the glass for them, and has stopped selling them for now. I believe the glass for the 935s is convex- flat glass would have a restricted field of vision in such a small mirror.

Scott,

thanks for the link and the paypal

I have one of the mirror pieces. I have had 3 suppliers, including a RUF supplier, tell me to just go to a glass shop and have one made. Siding with DAD911, I think that will be the best option.
