Steve W...Kudos!!!!!!!!!!

Dave and all you guys that posted about Steve's work...I thank you! I have put chips in just about every vehicle I have owned since chipping a vehicle has been available. Typically the results were certainly not a seat of the pants experience.
I have a bone stock '87 Carrera and I really didnt expect to feel anything at all from Steve's chip. I just hoped for a healthier more efficient running engine. I was extremely surprised to actually feel the improved throttle response and additional torque. The car feels notably more responsive. I couldnt be more pleased. I am attaching Steve's explaination of why you can feel the difference. It from a thread he responded to earlier in the week:

Steve's Words:
You should feel an immediate torque and response improvement from about 1500 rpm and up. Note that a stock 3.2 produces about 87 hp and 154 lbs of torque at 3000 rpm. If you assume that the first 40-50 hp is used just to fight frictional resistance and haul the weight of the car, that leaves you with about 37-47 hp for acceleration. If we could increase that to 100 hp and 175 lbs of torque at 3000, we now have 50-60 hp for acceleration, a nice 30% increase you can use to outrun that new 330 nipping on your tail.

I couldnt explain what was going on any better that Steve did!
The darn chip performs and I have spent thousands of dollars in the past years on chips and computer programming and have never gotten this level of performance enhancement from a chip. Porsche left a heck of allot on the table and Steve has the key to unleash it.
Thanks guys for the recommendation and thanks Steve for the customer service and product.
Matthew

My physics 101 instructors would have given that answer a big fat "F". If you rephrase as follows, I'll buy it:

"If you assume that the first 40-50 hp is used just to fight frictional and wind resistance, that leaves you with about 37-47 hp for acceleration"

The doesn't mean the chip is bad, just the justification. I am glad the chip gives a good seat of the pants improvement.

Chuck, you're right, good thing I have been done with all my physics courses, or I would be dropping out of college right now. I think I've had one too many long islands for now, time to switch to beer . . .
