Lightbulb Yehaww! I got CRUISE!

I have to hand it to my local wrench. Even tho he didnt fix my heat problem, he was smart enuf to tell me where this vacuum line went that had been hanging around the back of my engine. There's a small vacuum tube which allows a vacuum line to attach behind the big hose on the cruise control servo (not sure of it's name). This was the ONLY thing that was missing! I had forgotten we had hooked up the line and I bumped the cruise lever, and woohoo...I got cruise! Just thought I'd share the love guys!

The only time I ever used the cruise in my car was when I brought the car and was testing all the system.

If you gonna drive a Porsche why bother to let a little servo and and vacuum line drive the car for you.

This is one accessory the factory could have left out, however when are they gonna design a decent cup holder for the driver and pasengers.

What's your heat problem? Lack of, or too much? Is it engine heat, or heater? If its heater, and you have an automatic heater, see my post tonight on "Interesting A/C Trick, I think"

Matt, that's great! I'm sure that cruise control is just dead weight to most Porsche owners, but for those of us who take our 911's on long trips or who use our 911's for long daily commutes on highways, cruise is a welcome luxury. It's not as much fun cruising down the interstate as it would be going through a twisty back road, but at least we get to spend some time behind the wheel of our beloved Porsches on a daily basis!

I'm pretty impressed with how accurate the cruise control is. And if you've ever gone on the highway for more than a few miles in a 911, you get to speed creepin

Unfortunately speed creepin is a side effect of being passed by another vehicle, followed by the conscious or unconscious thought of "I'm driving a 911, they're going to pass me!"
