Wheel Spacers on an SC?
I have a mostly stock SC Cab and was pretty sure I could live with the stock wheels and spacing - but after reading some recent posts I can't look at the car w/o noticing the extra space in the rear wheel wells? How doees the spacing affect alignment and ride height and what spacers do you recommend? Are front spacers recommended as well?
Still not convinced I need/want them?

I used 1" spacers on the rear of my SC w/ 7" Fuchs. Really filled the wheel well out nicely. I purchased them from a board member. Be sure to get the type that center the wheel not just a flat spacer. I used a 1/4" flat spacer on the front (the type that does not have bolt onto the hub) and had some vibration due to the wheel not being centered on the hub. There is a source in Excellent in Puente Hills, CA (I think) that provide an excellent product. I beleive the name is Booth if I am not mistaken.

Caution:
Be careful. Spacers come in two flavors..those that are bolted to your original hub and have 5 off-set studs that are of the proper length ( you then end up with ten "lug nuts" ,...if you will,.... per wheel) -OR_ The spacers that simply slip fit over the normal studs. In this case, you should use longer studs to make up the length-lost by adding the spacer in the first place. ---Wil Ferch

Are there already spacers on 911sc hubs, cause i think i noticed that the last time i looked at the hubs? I'm used to the 944 where there's nothing but the brake rotor behind the wheel so i find it odd that the factory would use spacers.

Yep, the PO must have installed them. One inch would have been too much in my case. I am using, I think, 23mm spacers. I installed the longer studs for this. I like the look much better, but the real way to fix this is with 9" wheels.
