I just found these pics at a German Porsche forum:
Still too 996/928 at the rear. Still too flat at the front. Still too 996 in overall shape. However it does look promising compared to the 996-01 and 996-02 models. At least the headlamps are now round and the cup1 style wheels are nice. Let's hope for the best. |

911 + 129 = JOB

The car looks lower to the ground and in the slope up the front windshield. It does have an aggressive look.

Thanks for the pics. The front looks nice. I am not sure about the rear spoiler though. What's the url for the German Porsche forum?

The test cars usually use whatever rim is laying around. I'm sure the Cup 1's won't end up on the final version.
I like the return to the round lights. I think it's going to look pretty cool. The front end is pretty obviously masked to hide the real look. I like the rear scoops and the tail, but they may be masking the real fenders too. This is also a turbo bodied car, so who knows what the regular model will look like.

The German forum is: www.elfertreff.de It's a fantastic site. Loads of info (faq & forum). Masraum The wheels look like they're 18 or even 19 inches and are heavily inspired by the Cup1 design. I like them a lot. I hope they go into production. |

It looks a little more 993ish to me. And btw, thank you for the pics, car porn is always a good thing. The side view of the back looks like a 959 a bit too.

It's looking better isn't it !!
But I've never had a problem with the 996 TT. I just hope that the standard (jellybean) Carrera will benefit from the more agressive look too. Like Steve said, it still looks a bit "prototypie".

Looks like the rear deck lid is more vertical than "normal" - maybe to provide more room for the flat-8 . . . or the Cayenne TT V8.

Wah! It's not an SC, Carrera, or longhood!
Sorry. Just a pre-emptive strike on the naysayer bandwagon. I agree that those wheels look great, but I also agree that they use whatever's laying around and those won't probably make it into production. The car looks pretty weird with all that cladding. Not sure I like the new large-intake flanks.

Forget that 928 wannabe engine. Instead they should rip out the rear seat and put in the 500HP+ 5,7 V10 Carrera GT engine. Now that would be fun. Of course they'd have to do a Turbo version of that also

Hmm, I can't remember, is this going to have the Cayenne eight cylinder in it? Maybe they can finally put the 3.4 in the Boxster then?

If i remember correctly i read somewhere that a base model 997 was to recieve a 6cyl 3.8. But the heavy dutier model wasn't clear, I think using the cayenne was a possiblity or creating a new flat 8. I should see if i could find that article, it's in one of my panorama magazines.

I also really like the Cup 1 look wheels. They'd look great in gloss black on my car, but I'll stick with my forged Fuchs for now.

That German website rocks. Even if you don't speak German, check out the photos of their fun runs! Those guys rival our Potomac gang.
