I think its not just certain models of cars, its certain price ranges of certain models of cars. I posted on Audiworld a few months ago about that -- Audiworld used to be a really cool supportive forum where S4's are concerned, two or three years ago. No one getting woodies over drag racing, playing "my car is faster than your car, I can do 12.8, bay-bee!" and crap like that. Then all of a sudden new S4's weren't available, and used ones started cropping up for less and less money, and a new crowd of people came in -- kids with too much of their parents money who need to prove their worth by buying the best mods money can buy, buying a new set of wheels every month, and having serious ego fights on a daily basis. Unfortunately, that seems to be the case with sports cars, and sporty cars... and it lasts a few years until that particular crowd's attentions move onto another vehicle, and then the old timers who have been quietly doing the really cool stuff with their cars start back up again.

If you look at Audiworld, the old models on there is where the real knowledgable people have their conversations. The forums like the S4 forum are generally worthless unless you want to know what size 19's might fit on the car with and without rolling the fenders, or you want to pick a fight because you're bored at work.

This place is worlds better.

Does anyone know why the 356 registry uses an email list instead of this or there own discussion board? The 50+ emails a day is a pain in the a$$ and with no threads that link common responses, searching the archives for info is useless.

Just wondering.

Because 356s are such old technology.
