black and red relays?

whats the differance between the black and red relays and where should each be used??

Red is for the fuel pump

Black is for everything else.

The red relay is for the fuel pump, it has a diode in it to protect the pump. The rest are black.

If someone had a red relay in the wrong place will it cause a drain
on the battery?

Red can be used where black was originally..but ( usually) ,not the other way around.
