How often do you check this board per day?

I don't know how to do a poll so I 'm just asking the question. I'm checking it all day long and addicted. Bad for work! I'm guessing I check it 30x/day!

only 30? sometimes it's all I do all day.. or it feels like it. But working the tech desk it's easy to spout my mouth off to the clients while doing the same on pelican.

I keep it open all day and hit refresh from time to time.

my question is...Has anyone had their corporate IT nazi approach them about visiting this site too much?

anyone get "counseled" by their employer for spending too much time here, and not getting enough work done?

Check all throughout the day. My company is currently going through Nazi training camp and I'm sure this site will be blocked for me at work soon. That's why I don't post much. But I really enjoy all the banter. Lightens up my day and sometimes gives me some reallly good advice (even though I don't ask the questions directly). Several people here have been fired for posting on message boards so I just peek in from time to time to get a laugh and some advice.

I own the company and it is listed as a favorite on all of the office computers I try to indoctrinate all the help. LOL. I probably refresh like 30/40 times a day. Im an addict!

I lurk more-or-less all day at work. I don't know enough to offer helpful advice in response to most questions, so I watch and learn.

Rando -- it's BOTH how fast you can get there AND how good you look... At least it better be, b/c I'm stuck with my looks, so alls I gots is velocity.

Uh yeah, not really a quanifiable thing since I have two PC's sitting here, one is basically for company email and Pelican while the other is on another network for research and access to another companies resources.

More Tech geeks are around, huh, do you guys have to worry about your jobs going offshore?

PS If anyone knows of a position for a tech geek with a 911, tons of Cisco router, switch, firewall, vpn, NMS experience and pretty heavy Windows personal experience, but no really Windows work experience in the Houston area, let me know.

It's pretty easy to find new stuff to read during the day. It's those midnight (west coast) "checks" on a weeknight where sometimes you can almost hear the coyotes howling!

At work I check about once an hour unless I'm on the road. At home....well my wife probably thinks I'm having an internet affair!

My brother is standing beside me right now and forces me to write the following:

I'm a pelican addict. I spend far too much time on pelicanparts. I take up too much internet bandwidth by posting and watching pics of Porsche cars.
