pelican stocking stuffers/ mom gets a porsche
My mother has decided she wanted a pice of this porsche car fun. we found her a 912e that had been abandoned 4 yrs ago.
 after an attempt to get that FI to work. we opted for the weber carb conversion. the car already had all the smog stuff removed (most likely why it was abandoned here in CA)!  so now it's running great! she is about to drive it to nebraska where she will title it. it badly needs a new front glass gasket. so of course I sent her to pelican. her box had a cool CD rom in t! I never got one of those! she was not too thrilled that the package was addressed to Vigina; her name is Virginia! LOL she will making her drive w/ a friend of mine in a 67 bmw 1600 we just bought for him http://www.schusterphoto.com/1600912e.htm BTW, the guy on the phone at pelican was asking if she wanted to sell the car. I bet those guys get all the good deals. I knew a guy at max importing (early bmw parts) and he was always getting cars for next to free! |

Very nice Rudy. I know its kinda of late but since your not to far away here is a 912 event happening this weekend, if your mom was so inclined.

mom has yet to drive the 912 more than a few hundred yards. that FI system kept failing in the middle of intersctions whenever she drove it.
she made me drive after the webers were put on. it's all better but it will need to win her love now. she is hoping to make a 912 gathering later this yr. but first she needs to get it to NE and make it legal. paul schuster |
