Attention NY/NJ/CT/PA Pelicans!

After some online discussion with Paul Anderson, decided to try to get a pulse on the tristate Pelican membership/participation and see if there is any interest in doing a Tristate fun run! The NOVAs do it, the Califonians both northern and southern do it, even the Minnesotans....why can't we!

I figured, bring a friend, a spouse, a kid, have a nice drive, stop at a park or a restaurant, take some nice pics, how about coordinate it with the autumn leaf change? The heat is behind us, the colors are magnificent and the pics would be great!

Anybody interested? I figure the planning and coordinating weekend days could take some time so start the process now.

Alright! Been kinda jealous of all the other regions and their seemingly constant get togethers.

When and where. Weekend of 8/22 is bad, my daughters 3rd b-day party.

Great, 2 cars (people) its officially a fun run!! August is pretty much a washout for me between business and personal travel, let's see if anyone else comes on board....

And yes assistance with planning would be great!

Hi Adam, I've put together a few fun runs for the local Audi club. I also used to organize a "brisk" TSD rally in the Allentown area.

A few friends and I usually have a run around the New Hope PA area. I'm sure once I get my car running we can get one going. Right now I mostly do this run in my wrx with a local s2000 club, but I would love to try it in the 911.

I might be interested depending on when and where (although my wife may kill me if I mention another car related activity in the near future)

I think the Pocono's would be a good central location for the regions you are talking about. October would be a nice time there.

And likely to have less-travelled roads. There are plenty of great twisty roads down here in Delaware and Chester counties, but they have too much traffic for a fun weekend blast. Unless you're starting at 7AM, you need to be pretty far away from civilization to have any fun.

Poconos sounds great! I'm keeping note of everyone interested and will start to post some dates.

Jon from New City, my wife grew up there! We visit my inlaws pretty regularly, nice area, I especially like Nyack.

Ken, Gene over at ******** knows of a bunch of SCs for sale, I'm picking my car up from him later today (routine stuff) send me a PM I can ask him what he has and send you a note.

Great idea. The Poconos would be an optimum location - everyone would be within 'do it in a day' distance, and there are plenty of great roads.

If all else fails, we could even shoot for a weekend when there is a PCA event at the track.
