Interesting photos from 1978 IMSA
Not taken by me I might add - but I thought you might like to see them. Some nice 935's...

Thats pretty weird. Last summer I was at an antique store and bought a stack of slides that were taken at that exact same race. In fact, it appears that several of the shots are identical....maybe the photographers were standing right next to each other.

Those bring back some memories Stefan, and raise
the question; are the Whittington brothers out of jail yet? Thanks.

I grew up going to Sebring and Daytona. Does any one rember the time the Wittington Brothers turned up the boost on the opening laps and lapped the field in about three laps then blew the engine about 1/2 hour into the 24 hour race. I always wondered why they did that. Very impressive non the less...
I rember the first time I saw a 935 from the rear. My dad said "Look there's a 911 in there"

Nice photo's. Thanks for the link.
Some of them could pass as being from a vintage race today ![]()

Was Paul Newman racing back then? Think I got part of his car when I was a kid. Hit the wall in turn 5 at Laguna Seca. BMW I think. Only way mom would go to the races is if "Paul" was there. Other than that mom stayed home. LOL. The good ole days.
