Thumbs up Mothers' best and blue spraypaint - MikeZ refinished his Fuchs - Pics

...after some liberal application of Mothers' Best aluminum polish and blue spray paint here are classic RS blue Fuchs wheels. Gruppe B is alive - WUF WUF.

Comments?

Wow, How many hours of masking did that take? Looks good. No rocker cover thing is ok. Maybe lower it more now? Blue Carrera stripe will be cool. MORE PICS!!

Here are some more results of Mothers' Best. I just couldn't bring myself around and use the blue spray paint. Too much masking work.....

The turd brown is actually growing on me. A nice sunset and a digital camera makes everything look sooo much nicer.

Since I have done it before....the masking, painting and re-install took me 2 hours.....was baby sitting the kids while the wife was out shop lifting....errrr, shopping, yeah that's the ticket.....

Of all the colors I have done the blue is my favorite ....so far....the roll bar paint is starting to crack....dunno if doing it in blue would be too much.

Any opinions? Naaah, not on this board.....

That shade of blue really works!! I think the wheels would look better with polished center caps though. Max

I'm with Max...I think the polished cap ties the whole thing together.

The title of the thread struck fear in my heart, but the wheels look cool, and the car rocks. But why did you let that deranged mental patient sit in it while the pictures were taken?

I like the blue script much better than the green "Hanna Barbera" script. It looks really smart now, Mike.

Ingo's car is a real sleeper!

I like the blue. I think you should run a blue strip aroung the bumpers too, ala '73 RS.

I thought about it....but the SC style bumper is higher than the short hoods because of the turn signal placement.

The blue stripe would be higher and to make it match, the Carrera stripe would have to be higher as well....it would not look right.

I guess you'll just have to do the front end back date you've been lusting after.

I'm feeling much better now....the Prozac, Lithium, Thorazien and Zolof cocktail that Ingo made u-p in his lab is helping. So does the foil helmet...the voices are much nicer now.
