First Big Ride
Well it may not be as big as some on the board, but my '84 Cab has just returned from it longest ride ever with me. Cleveland to Niagara-On-The-Lake, Canada. Three days, three states, two countries and 594 miles. Though I was very woried about the "what if's" everything went great. My only maintenance issues were a burned out brake light, easily replaced on the way, and a blower fan which died on the return trip. I though it might be the fuse but it appears to be the fan. I never use it and had to run it for a long time due to the rain. Here's a picture, unfortunately with the top up, in front of the Chateau des Charmes winery. Even my wife began to feel the p-car groove and enjoyed the ride.
JG ![]() P.S. Forgot to mention the car turned 129,000 miles during the trip.

Glad to hear you had a great trip without incident. I drive my 78 SC Targa to Fla from time to time - 690 mi round trip. Havn't had a problem yet at 116,000 mi although I did a rebuild at 82,000. Niagra-On-The-Lake is where I purchased my first C & C 24. Brought the trailer to pick it up and hauled it back to Lake George, NY. Don't think the C & C plant is in business anymore.
