$$$$ Build your new 911 $$$$

This was on my home page today. I thought it might be fun to dream a little and custom order a 911 using the provided spec sheet. Click on the "Price it with options". You may have to download a small program prior to picking your options. I thought I could pick out a bare bones coupe for something around the starting price. Guess again! With some of the options, (Higher output engine, sport seats, rims, sport suspension) my car was very quickly approaching the $100k mark. I never realized they had so many expensive options. See what your "dream car will add up to"! I'll stick to checking out 993's I guess.

I did this and I became very unhappy very fast. $300. for a leather dome light. On and on, I could see the $90,000 + coming in fast. I think it is the deal to get a 2 or 3 year old car with all the options as the blue book can not have 90% of them in there book and they will not have as much of a value in the used car. But then if you are rich enough for the $60,000 car you may have the money for the $85,000 car. What to do? Make some big money!!! I an in the $20,000 league trying for the $40,000 league.

Mine was $87K with only performance upgrades. :( I think I would scrape up another $13k & get the GT3 or a Florida condo.
