The new ('72) is home.
Got the 911 home today. Here are some shots of the '72. Keep in mind this car has not moved since 1992. It has a plastic RS tank, H4s and all the sway bar options, and some cool seats, all which will be for sale soon.! I just cant decide on which end to start on first! It will soon be a RSR clone track car with either a 3.2 or 3.6 in it. It was originally signal orange, and poorly painted red since. Any ideas on what color to paint it? I was leaning towards that lime green or back with red. This car has only 46K on it. I am the third owner, and was with the second owner when he bought it!
More on that later. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1059935622.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1059935633.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1059935644.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1059935664.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1059935683.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1059935699.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1059935716.jpg |
Welcome back to the dark side! Looks like a belly button car(Everyone has one) therefore a perfect candidate for 3.6 RSR transformation.
It'll be a fun project!! You guys are starting to make me get some dark thoughts. |
That fuel tank looks interesting. Could be a large capacity one. If you're ever selling, I'm first in line for it...
That said, the '72 is the best base for a racer, ask Jack Olsen. Good find! GeorgeK |
I'd vote anything but red. Maybe viper green?

I know a guy looking for that tail if you're interested in selling it.

I'd say put it back to signal orange.. that's a great looking color. It looks to be a great fairly original car. Nice catch.

oh oh, i could use those seats

I vote orange too!!! I am interested in the tank to. How much is something like that worth? PS I am local George(nah...nah) :-))
