Porsche Crest Anyone have good leads on a 88 or 89 930 Cab?

Ok....I'm getting wrestless and in the mood to consolidate a bit.

I've been toying with the idea of selling my 1985 Carrera and my 1985 Mercedes SL. So......any leads on a '88 or '89 930 Cab?

Black/Black is my ideal choice...Red may be next.

Ideas, advice or comments welcome.

http://www.sloancars.com/Default.htm has a few late 80's turbo cars. A bit pricey, but they're usually low mileage rides. He's in CT, so it's almost local.

The site is nice to "window shop" tho' Lot's of eyecandy.

Here's a factory turbo look cab that is for sale in my area. Don't know the person but it looks like a nice car.

If you can find one within your budget, I would go with the `89. First year for the 5-speed in the turbos, last year of the classic 930 style/body.

Just curious, did they make 930 cabs. Seems like the turbo would be reserved for cars that were going to be raced. And no I have not yet purchased the History of the 911.

If memory serves me correctly the G50 was first available for the 930 in 87.

And yes, there is such a thing as a 930 cab. I just prefer a solid roof on my cars.

The first G50 in a 930 was 89. First G50 in a Carrera was 87.

What tranny is in your 87 930? Isn't it a 930 4spd?

Yes I have the 4 speed, but I was incorrectly informed that G50s were also avaible that year and that I had the last of the 4 speed 930s.

Based on your info I can see how the misinformation came about.

I prefer my old indestructable 930 tranny anyways.

Glad this came up as I though that '88 was the first year for the G50 in the 930.

How about an 87 summer yellow slant nose carbriolet 3.2 n/a
84000 mile car with 17" fikse front and rear with the oil cooler
relocated into the right rear brake duct as per the slant nose turbos.

I personally don't think convertible and turbo is a good idea. A turbo convertible is too much for leisure driving. A convertible is not enjoyable at above freeway speed. I can hardly open my eyes after 30 mins open top driving on the freeway because the wind is just blowing so hard. My next 930 would be a coupe.
