Question Crutchfield and 911SC Stereo

Thinking about purchasing a CD player from Crutchfield. Their site claims to provide installation instructions and a CD player that is a direct fit for my SC. I was wondering if anybody else had purchased from them and did a self install. Thanks.

I haven't purchased from them for my 911's, but I have for other vehicles. There installation instructions are pretty top notch.

If you have all the original wiring from your factory stereo, Crutchfield had a kit that allows you to plug into the main harness and the speaker or amp harness.

I've purchased from Crutchfield and have no complaints other than they are overly cautious regarding what will fit and not fit in any particular car.

Just about any DIN head unit will fit in the car, so they really dont add value there. I've purchased several things from them through the years and have never had a complaint. Their website is great as well.

Thanks. I am a little hesitant b/c this will my first stereo installation. I usually go to Circuit City or somewhere like that. But I figure it will be cool to try it, plus I'll save $$$.
