Ecclestone says canadian GP not cancelled
Supposedly, Ecclestone has just said that the canadian GP is not cancelled. I just read this on F1 Live.com and F1 Racing.net which are usually fairly reliable.
http://f1.racing-live.com/en/index.html http://www.f1racing.net/news.php?ID=61173 I do not believe this news, Normand Legault, the canadian GP promoter, is a very serious businessman. He would not have announced the cancellation of the GP if he was not sure. Nevertheless, I wanted to pass on the information. I guess Ecclestone might not want to close the door just yet hoping that the canadian governement would back off like they did in Belgium. I doubt this will happen, our politicians are too stubborn for that. |

I realize this is OT, but the reason is tobaco adverising. Canadian law is set to ban it at the next GP. 300,000 attended the last CGP, so I would think it makes a profit.
