MFI 911T - unusual idle

My car has been a bit neglected (un driven) recently.
Everything works on the car (or did). It was running quite well.
I started it up, but the idle was low, normally when I start it, it idles around 1400 'til warm then settles to just under a 1000.

It idled around 600, once warm it settled at just under a 1000!
It drove ok. It was quite hot, around 90F and very humid.

Do I have a problem? Should I be checking anything?
Can the thermostat on the pump and the hot air flap on the air intake get "fooled" by hot weather?

I have just unashamedly bumped myself from page 3!

Don't tell me I'm the only MFI with A/C, do you all stop driving in heat!

I'm hoping it's like a cigarette lighter in a hot car, it just pops straight back out because it thinks it's already hot.

I'm looking for help here guys (or even just reassurance)

Jeff

How many discs and spacers are in your thermostat? When is the last time you cleaned the rod and the discs? Do you have the factory double hose running from your port heat exchanger to the thermostat?

John
I'm not sure how many discs in my thermostat, but it was cleaned last spring and I checked the pin for movement under the little triangular plate. Both upper and lower hoses ok. ( the car was tuned last spring, everything done, starting with the valves ending with the pump)
I haven't checked the thermo pin for movement at present, thought I'd post first.
Thanks
Jeff

I have had good luck adding a bottle of Swepco 503 to my gas. One bottle every 3rd or 4th tank. Stuff works like magic with my MFI.
Available right here on line.
