Okay, did I screw up?
I purchase the 21/26 solid 'bars for my SC (street only). Are the hollows and are the 'bars greater than 26 The Business for the SC? Should I have gone bigger in the backend? (sways stay the same w/ standard bushes and 7/9 Fuchs combo.). Really I am only looking for a refreshment for the Targa, not looking to track but only for reasonably stiff street ride. Many thanks in advance, John

I talked to a lot of folks before I bought mine. I wanted 21/30s and still think that would have been a better set up for a recreational car. I ended up revalving my front sport shocks to better handle the 22s and it helped.
Lots of folks won't steer you to a 30/31 rear unless they have done some track time on the newer bars. Most of the recreational track guys around here will tell me 30 is just bearly OK. My impression the 30/31s rear is "new" technology and worth the effort in a hollow bar. Shocks made the biggest difference in my car by far over the other several 1000 I spent in up grades. But the 22/30s on my car now are not too stiff IMO even with 17" low profile tires. I drive on the majority of the time on the street and only on a rare occasion track time half dozen times a year. Interior and seats should be back in my car end of next week or so. You are welcome to take a ride and see what you think. Last edited by rdane; 08-01-2003 at 12:27 PM.. |

23/31. Everything else handles like a station wagon.

yeah, i'm gonna do them myself. i have to get my car back on the road first!! drive for a few months, then do them and the bushes as a rolling project. i've been putting the parts list together and finally have all i need.
i'll post pics as i go. btw - imho 22's seem to be the generally agreed ones to use up front, and from what i read/heard about the rear can take stiffer bars because of the engine weight.
