0-60 in 7.2 - 8.2 seconds is not bad at all. Are there any other street legal 2 liter cars that will do that, or are even close???

BTW - Those cross weights are nuts on. Is that how the car was when you got it or did you have to go through the whole corner weighting excercise to get to that?

I agree, for a 34 year old car, I'm impressed. The S2000 is quicker, but it's pretty technologically advanced. The engine is stock as far as I know, including all of the air cleaner assemby, muffler, points, etc. Doesn't smoke either. Leaks a bit of oil, but they all do that, I'm told.

the only thing I did to work with the weights is to replace the two batteries with one Optima in the right side to offset my weight on the left. I've yet to delve into the suspension, but I'm looking at prepping the car for a proposed Vintage autocross class for SCCA...

Great quote!
Looks like you're having fun! It's always good to hear of a 911 being resurrected. I HATE seeing them erode into the earth.

This one's getting used. I autocrossed it this past weekend in a small sports car club here in Florida, where "Stock" is really close to stock, with no trick shocks, tires or anything allowed. So...69 2.0E against Honda S2000s, new 911s and a 350Z. The outcome? A first place finish on 34 year old Boge shocks. It's a handful, but a fun one.
