secure garage needed in NYC area

hey guys, anyone have an idea about a secure garage space in or near the city?

Thanks

I also have a set of phone dials with tires for anyone who wants to pick them up (free)

I've heard Seinfeld has a real nice garage in the city ;)

They're all over the place, but they'll cost ya :) What are you looking for, month to month (long term) or daily (short term)? Where at in the city?

I want something private, month to month is fine. I don't want something where I can't work on it. Right now I have her in the public storage in North Bergen which costs me $$$ each time I cab over and back. basically unless someone knows Jerry ;-) I'd like to find a private garage reachable via public trans. I live at 52 & 8th

Will the phone dials fit an 84 Carrera?

If so I'll pick em up.

Might make for good set of winter tires.

Thx,
Scott

yes they will fit. You'll need to coordinate a time on the weekend to get them, here is my cell 917 348 1698

James, in Hell's kitchen there are about 20 garages, many of whom will give you a storage rate, they put your car in the way back and you have to call a day in advance to access it. Look on 43rd, 44th, 42nd, west of 8th avenue, you will find them all. That's a lot easier than a private space, which will be pretty big coin I would think.

Or you can send a message to John Colasante, who may be helpful in this regard. He keeps a few cars out in the other boroughs.

how do I reach John Colasante?

Thanks. I checked those garages and I didn't find one that I felt would respect my car.

I used to keep my 73 S in a garage right near you, Central parking at the corner of 50th and 9th, for $250 a month with tax (read CHEAP). I got to know the guys (also tipped them well) and they gave me a parking spot where I had easy access to the car, it wasn't moved (nor were any cars moved around it), nobody drove it but me, and I was able to do *some* work on it (oil changes, etc). There isn't a place to keep tools though so I often kept them in the car, and there isn't a place to keep larger things like a jack. Not sure about outside the city, but I've never seen a garage for rent to the public that offers a completely private space (of course I've only been here 4 years). There are some nice browstones you can buy on the upper west & east sides that have private garages, probably only cost ya maybe 5 million :D
