Wasn't somebody on Pelican looking for a 935 flat fan assembly recently? There's one for sale here:

Nice picture!

What is the story behind mounting the fan like this?
Is it just to make room for a large intercooler and/or other engine parts or does it actually improve the cooling?

I have been asked to sell a large amount of miscellaneous Porsche 935 parts. This include engines, gear boxes, uprights, ring and pinions, flat fan assembly, suspension, brakes — too much to list!

Don't know how to post pics, but follow this link and scroll down to the orange 934 to see more horizontal fan action. Oh yes - it's for sale too.
