North Seattle tire balancing help
Discount tire doesn't seem to be able to balance tires.
Anyone know a good place for tire balancing north of Seattle? I did a search and Tru Line and Group 2 came up. Is there someplace in the North end or East side that can balance tires? Thanks,

I had Group 2 balance my tires a couple of weeks ago. Not that tire balancing is a emotional thing but I think the experience was as good as it gets. I tried Discount, a small local shop and a Goodyear shop; Discount did an OK job; the small shop screwed it up and Goodyear said they could not do it without scratching the wheels.
FWIW I live in Ballard/Crown Hill.

Group 2
4442-B 27th Ave West Seattle, WA 98199 206.378.0900 They are in Interbay between Magnolia and Queen Anne. A large shop tucked away in a corner with an ecclectic assortment of cars. First time I was there they had a 944, 930 slant (DP?), mid-60's vette, and an 60's Ford Falcon racer. Second time there were two Ferrarri's, a pristine Carerra. If you want better directions just send me an email. Joe English is the owner I was charged $75 to mount/balance four tires. ![]()

I have friends who live in Magnolia and use Group2 regularly. They're a group of skilled mechanics who do excellent work. Give them a call.
BTW, the buildings all around Group2 house some of the most exotic automobiles in Seattle - $750K Dusenbergs, 1935 Mercedes that got 2nd place at Pebble Beach, a Ford Falcon with a fiberglass racing body from Europe - only one of 5 built, various Ferraris, etc. Ask the guys at Group2, they've probably touched all of them at one point. Cheers!

Are these exotic cars the refugees from the building of the police station on Capitol Hill that flushed out any number of businesses?
Anyone remember in the early eighties there was a large underground area dedicated to Mercedes cars, many pre-war. One SS staff car and tons of others. The guy raced the 23/5/8/0 SLs. It was a private museum of sorts full of old posters, signs, pumps, and car upon car. John

Sounds like Group 2 is the place to go. It's the closest to me as well. Thanks.
